Review and approve pitches from Cursor
Every pitch BacklinkGenie writes waits for your approval. That's the right default for email that goes out under your name, but it means a queue to work through.
From your assistant you can sort that queue however you think about it, ask for changes in plain language and approve in batches. Edits go through the same quality check as the dashboard, so nothing that breaks the rules gets saved.
The prompt
Paste this into Cursor and change the details to fit.
Read docs/positioning.md, then go through the pending BacklinkGenie pitches. Flag any that describe the product differently from that doc and suggest a fix. Don't approve anything yet.
What happens
-
1
List what's waiting
list_drafts returns each pitch with the post, the contact, the subject and body, and why the agent picked it.
-
2
Ask for changes
edit_draft saves new wording only if it passes the quality check: right recipient, only your links, no paid-link offers, no spammy phrasing.
-
3
Approve
approve_draft queues the pitch. It sends from your outreach mailbox within that mailbox's daily limit. Your assistant is told to confirm with you first.

Read docs/positioning.md. 2 of the 6 pending pitches still call Margin "a note app for students"; the doc now says "for researchers". I've drafted fixes for both. Want me to save them? They'll go through the quality check.
Tips
- Ask for a short summary per pitch first; read the full email only for the ones you're unsure about.
- Batch it: "approve 1, 3 and 4, discard 2" works in one message.
- Keep approvals with a person. Automated workflows should notify you, not approve for you.

More you can do from Cursor
Review and approve pitches from another tool
Same rules as the dashboard
Cursor works on the same account, sites and mailboxes as the BacklinkGenie dashboard. Pitches wait for approval unless you've turned on Autopilot, every edit goes through the quality check, and sending stays inside each mailbox's daily limit. See how BacklinkGenie works or compare plans.
Questions people ask
Can the assistant approve without asking me?
BacklinkGenie's server instructions tell every assistant to show you the pitch and get an explicit yes before calling approve_draft. Most clients also ask permission before running a tool that changes something.
What happens if an edit fails the quality check?
The edit isn't saved and the assistant gets the reasons and a suggested fix. After five failed edits on one site in a day, editing pauses until the next day.
Do I need an API key to use BacklinkGenie from Cursor?
Yes. Create one in BacklinkGenie under Settings → MCP; keys start with bg_live_. MCP access is on the Growth and Agency plans.
