Sites we never work with
Accounts promoting any of the following are refused at signup, and existing accounts are terminated if a site moves into these categories:
- Gambling, casinos, betting or sweepstakes
- Adult or sexual content
- CBD, cannabis, vapes, tobacco or kratom
- Weapons, ammunition or explosives
- Crypto trading signals, ICOs, MLM or get-rich schemes
- Payday loans, debt relief or credit repair
- Online pharmacy, unapproved supplements or weight-loss pills
- Essay mills, fake reviews, follower selling or link selling
- Hacking tools, account selling or piracy
- Hate, extremism or misinformation
Sites reviewed by a person first
These categories are allowed, but a human reviews the site before your agent starts sending:
- Health and medical information
- Finance and fintech
- Legal services
- Political or advocacy
- Agency or consultancy promoting client sites
Agencies may run outreach for client sites they are authorised to represent. We may ask for confirmation.
Automatic checks at signup
- Disposable or temporary email addresses can't create accounts.
- Sites listed on spam domain blocklists, or that look parked or deceptive, are refused.
- Parked, unreachable or “for sale” domains are refused.
- Sites that primarily sell links or sponsored posts are refused.
- Brand-new, thin or heavily affiliate sites may be held for manual review.
Checks are repeated periodically and whenever you change your site details.
Rules for every email
Every email you edit and every reply you write is checked automatically before sending. An email is blocked if it:
- goes to anyone other than the contact found for that site (or a verified address on the same domain), or adds CC/BCC recipients;
- links anywhere other than your own verified site, uses link shorteners, or includes more than two links;
- includes attachments;
- offers or requests payment for a link or placement, or proposes link schemes;
- contains deceptive claims, impersonation, fake urgency, threats or manipulative language;
- uses common spam patterns (all-caps subjects, “guaranteed”, “act now”, excessive punctuation or emoji);
- asks for payment details, passwords or other sensitive information;
- is outside sensible length limits, or reads as generic blast copy rather than a pitch for a specific post.
Repeatedly submitting emails that fail these checks may disable editing for your account.
Opt-outs
If someone asks not to be contacted, they're added to a suppression list shared across all BacklinkGenie customers. You may not attempt to contact them again through the service.
Deliverability thresholds
We monitor bounce, spam-complaint and negative-reply rates for every mailbox. Sending pauses automatically if they exceed safe levels while we review what happened.
Enforcement
Depending on severity, we may block individual emails, disable editing, pause sending for a workspace, or terminate the account. Sending domains used for abuse may be retired rather than transferred.
Reporting abuse
If you received an email sent through BacklinkGenie that breaks these rules, forward it to support@backlinkgenie.com. We read every report.
