Choose BacklinkGenie
If you want editors to choose to mention you, keep control of who's contacted, and avoid paying per link.
BacklinkGenie vs Respona at a glance
| BacklinkGenie | Respona | |
|---|---|---|
| What you're buying | Software with the sending setup included | Done-for-you placements, paid per published link |
| Entry price (checked October 16, 2026) | Free report, then $99/mo | $100 per placement (DR 20+) |
| Who does the outreach | The agent, after you approve (or on autopilot) | Respona's team |
| Sending mailbox & domain | Dedicated domain + Google Workspace mailbox, set up and ramped for you | Not your concern; they handle outreach |
| How targets are found | Agent searches your niche, plus any post URLs you paste | Respona picks sites within your DR tier |
| Who writes each pitch | Agent writes one pitch per post; you can edit | Respona creates the content (listicles, reviews, guest posts) |
| Control before anything is sent | Every pitch waits for approval unless you switch on autopilot | Optional domain pre-approval, for an extra fee |
| Checks that links stay live | Weekly re-check of every won link, alert if it's removed or nofollowed | Placements are guaranteed to go live in the agreed window |
| Best fit | Founders and small teams who want earned links without running the process | Teams with budget who want a guaranteed number of links |
Two different models
Respona's pricing page lists placements from $100 (DR 20+) to $500 (DR 60+), with content written by Respona and a standard 28-day turnaround. BacklinkGenie doesn't sell links: it pitches publishers whose existing posts fit your product, and they decide whether to add you.
Predictability vs. control
Placements are predictable: you know what you'll get. Earned outreach isn't guaranteed, but you approve every site and every word sent in your name, and won links come from editors who chose to include you.
Search-guideline risk
Google treats links exchanged for money as link schemes unless they're marked sponsored or nofollow. Earned editorial mentions don't carry that question.
Strengths and trade-offs
BacklinkGenie
AI outreach agent
Where it's strong
- Sending domain, Google Workspace mailbox, authentication and ramp-up are included, so cold outreach never touches your main domain.
- You see every prospect considered, can paste your own target posts, and keep a domain blocklist.
- Every pitch passes a quality gate (recipient lock, link allowlist, no payment offers) before it can send.
- Won links are re-checked weekly with an alert if they're removed or turned nofollow.
Where it falls short
- A new product: fewer public reviews than tools that have been around for years.
- Each new mailbox ramps up over about a month, so volume builds gradually.
- No guaranteed link count; editors decide what to publish.
- Not a full PR CRM for teams managing journalist relationships by hand.
Respona
Pay-per-placement link service
Where it's strong
- Predictable: you order a number of placements and they're guaranteed to go live.
- No work on your side beyond choosing anchors and target URLs.
- Clear tiers by publisher Domain Rating and traffic.
Where it falls short
- It's a per-link purchase: ten DR 40+ placements cost $2,400 before discounts.
- Respona writes the content and picks the sites, so you don't build relationships with editors.
- Paying per placement sits closer to buying links, which some teams avoid for search-guideline reasons.
When BacklinkGenie isn't the right pick
- You need a fixed number of links on a deadline for a launch.
