Import target posts from Codex
You already know some posts you should be in: the roundup a competitor is listed in, the guide that ranks for your main keyword, the article a customer sent you.
Paste the URLs into your assistant and BacklinkGenie qualifies each one, finds who to contact and drafts a pitch for your approval, the same way it handles the posts it finds itself.
The prompt
Paste this into Codex and change the details to fit.
Import every URL in targets.txt into BacklinkGenie. Then tell me which got a verified contact and which were skipped and why.
What happens
-
1
Send the URLs
import_posts takes a list of post URLs. Duplicates and posts already in your list are ignored.
-
2
BacklinkGenie qualifies each one
It checks the site against your blocklist and quality rules, reads the post to see where you fit, and finds the editor's email.
-
3
Pitches appear for approval
Qualified posts get a pitch in your approvals; skipped ones come back with the reason.
Import every URL in targets.txt into BacklinkGenie. Then tell me which got a verified contact and which were skipped and why.
Read targets.txt: 8 URLs. Imported 7; skipped 1 (already in your list from last week's run). Verified contacts for 6. Pitches are drafting. The one without a contact is parked so it's not pitched blind.
Tips
- Competitor roundups convert best. Ask your assistant to find posts listing your competitors, then import them.
- Coding agents can read a file of URLs; chat apps take a pasted list.
- Importing is on the Growth and Agency plans.

More you can do from Codex
Same rules as the dashboard
Codex works on the same account, sites and mailboxes as the BacklinkGenie dashboard. Pitches wait for approval unless you've turned on Autopilot, every edit goes through the quality check, and sending stays inside each mailbox's daily limit. See how BacklinkGenie works or compare plans.
Questions people ask
Why would an imported post be skipped?
It's on your blocklist or our never-contact list, the site fails the quality checks (it sells links or shows spam signals), it's already in your list, or there's no way to contact the editor.
Does importing count toward my emails?
Qualifying the post doesn't. The pitch it writes counts as one email, like any other pitch.
Do I need an API key to use BacklinkGenie from Codex?
Yes. Create one in BacklinkGenie under Settings → MCP; keys start with bg_live_. MCP access is on the Growth and Agency plans.
