What is Naked URL?

A link where the anchor text is the URL itself, such as margin.example.

A naked URL link uses the web address as its clickable text: margin.example, www.margin.example or https://margin.example/pricing.

They're common in natural link profiles, especially in resource lists, forums and citations, and they're a safe, neutral anchor type.

Along with branded anchors, naked URLs usually make up most of a healthy profile.

Example

"Find it at margin.example" with the address linked is a naked URL anchor.
