Cision alternatives
Cision (CisionOne, plus PR Newswire distribution) is built for large comms teams: monitoring, a media database, analytics and wire distribution, sold through sales. Small teams look for alternatives that cost less, start faster, and focus on the coverage or links they actually need.
The short list

Quote-based
Muck Rack PR software (media database + monitoring)
Choose it if you want a widely used PR platform, still quote-based.

| Best fit | Large comms teams and agencies | PR teams managing press relationships | Small PR and marketing teams | Startups announcing a launch or funding | Founders and small teams who want earned links without running the process |
Do you need a wire service?
Press releases on a wire get syndicated widely, but those syndicated links are usually nofollow and carry little SEO weight. Use a wire when the news itself matters to journalists, not as a link building tactic.

Press quotes build credibility, but buyers shortlisting software mostly read "best X" posts, not news coverage. If that's the gap, read how SaaS products get into best-of lists, and the expert quote pitch template.
