Sending setup
Outlink connects your Gmail or Outlook inboxes by OAuth. BacklinkGenie provides a dedicated domain and Google Workspace mailbox, authenticated and ramped up for you.
Volume
Outlink Starter allows 150 emails a day. A BacklinkGenie mailbox ramps up over about a month to its full rate; Starter covers up to 1,000 outreach emails a month.
Unpaid links only
Outlink's autopilot can spend on paid placements within a monthly cap. BacklinkGenie's quality gate blocks any pitch that offers payment.
Monitoring
Both check links after they go live. BacklinkGenie re-checks weekly and alerts you if a link is removed or turned nofollow.
Strengths and trade-offs
BacklinkGenie
AI outreach agent
Where it's strong
- Sending domain, Google Workspace mailbox, authentication and ramp-up are included, so cold outreach never touches your main domain.
- You see every prospect considered, can paste your own target posts, and keep a domain blocklist.
- Every pitch passes a quality gate (recipient lock, link allowlist, no payment offers) before it can send.
- Won links are re-checked weekly with an alert if they're removed or turned nofollow.
Where it falls short
- A new product: fewer public reviews than tools that have been around for years.
- Each new mailbox ramps up over about a month, so volume builds gradually.
- No guaranteed link count; editors decide what to publish.
- Not a full PR CRM for teams managing journalist relationships by hand.
Outlink AI
AI outreach agent (sends from your inboxes)
Where it's strong
- High daily sending limits for the price: 150 emails a day on Starter.
- On-page link monitoring and Search Console reporting on every plan.
- White-label option and separate workspaces for agencies.
Where it falls short
- You connect your own Gmail or Outlook inboxes, so the sending domains are yours to set up.
- Its tactics include niche edits and paid placements within a monthly spend cap; check the guardrails if you only want unpaid links.
- A card is needed to start the trial.

Our best-of list guide covers the first; our notes on sending from Google Workspace covers the second. If you're new to the process, start with the complete link outreach process.
