Links get removed in redesigns, changed to nofollow by a new editor, or dropped when a post is updated. If nobody checks, you find out months later, if ever.

Tips
- Ask "what changed since last week?" rather than listing everything.
- When a link turns nofollow or disappears, a short, friendly note to the editor often gets it restored. Ask your assistant to draft one.

Can I add links I won outside BacklinkGenie?
Yes. mark_link_won records any link to your site on a page you name, and it's monitored the same way.
Do I need an API key to use BacklinkGenie from n8n?
Yes. Create one in BacklinkGenie under Settings → MCP; keys start with bg_live_. MCP access is on the Growth and Agency plans.
