GMass alternatives for link outreach
GMass is the fastest way to send a spreadsheet's worth of emails from Gmail. That's also the risk: every cold pitch goes from your own account. For link outreach, people move on when they worry about their main domain, or when they realise the hard part was never the sending.
The short list
-
01
Free report, then $99/mo
BacklinkGenie AI outreach agent
Choose it if you want pitches written per post and sent from a separate domain, not your Gmail.
-
02
Free (20 recipients/day); paid plans billed yearly
YAMM Mail merge for Gmail and Sheets
Choose it if you only send a few emails a day and want something free.
-
03
$49/mo (single-user plan from $19/mo)
BuzzStream Outreach CRM for PR and link building
Choose it if you want to track relationships and link status with a CRM.
-
04
Free (50 credits), paid from $49/mo
Hunter Email finder with campaigns
Choose it if you need verified emails for a list and simple sequences.

The risk of sending cold pitches from your main Gmail
If enough recipients mark your pitch as spam, Google starts filtering mail from your domain, including invoices and replies to customers. A separate outreach domain keeps that risk away from the address your business runs on.
A mail merge vs. a pitch
GMass fills in {firstName} and {website}. A pitch that gets you added to a post needs a reason that's specific to that post. That's research per site, which is the work BacklinkGenie's agent does before drafting.
A fair look at GMass
GMass
Mail merge inside Gmail
Where it's strong
- Lives inside Gmail, so there's almost nothing to learn.
- Cheap, and follow-ups are automatic on Premium.
- Works from a Google Sheet you already have.
Where it falls short
- Sends from your own Gmail. Cold link pitches at volume put that account's reputation at risk.
- A merge tool, not an outreach process: no prospecting, contact finding or per-post writing.
- Gmail's daily sending limits still apply.

Any outreach tool is only as good as two things it can't fix on its own: the list of posts you pitch and whether your email lands. Our best-of list guide covers the first; our notes on sending from Google Workspace covers the second. If you're new to the process, start with the complete link outreach process.
